Very good condition, warm chocolate patina. Potter sculpted the Lions, "Patience & Fortitude", guarding the Fifth Avenue entrance to the New York Public Library.

      Edward Clark Potter (1857-1923, CT and NY) carved marble portrait plaques. Attr: as Prince Albert and Queen Victoria, the opposite facing profile portraits are relief carved in pure white marble, having nice detail in good condition, the female portrait is initialed “E.C.P.” for Edward Clark Potter. In original oak frames with ebonized trim; nice condition with no breaks, cracks or repairs to the marble. 13.5 in. high x 12 in. wide – Frame: 18.75 in. high x 17.5 in. wide x 3 in. deep. Weight: 45.25 lbs.
