    Preston, Edward Carter (British, 1884-1965); b. Liverpool ENGLAND , Liverpool Cathedral , 1930, a bronze plaque by E. Carter Preston for the Royal Mint, three male figures venerating a seated Madonna and Child, Cathedral behind, rev . winged angel kneels to right of nimbate standing male, both in praise, Cathedral behind, 72 x 38mm, 80.51g (Eimer, BNJ 1985, no.25; BHM 4229; E 2018; cf . BSJ 52, 229; cf . DNW M5, 1323). Extremely fine, scarce £40-£50 --- Provenance: Bt Simmons April 2003. Liverpool Cathedral, work on the construction of which had begun in 1904, is a neo-Gothic style edifice and the largest Anglican church in England.
