Gizella RÁKÓCZY was a central figure of Hungarian and international geometric art. From 1971 on, she had countless group and solo thematic exhibitions. The present exhibition is the continuation of the long-standing tradition that the artist’s latest works debut with a FUGA exhibition.

Due to the artist’s unexpected death in 2015, her last grandiose work remained unfinished, but it can be analyzed and interpreted even in its incomplete state. The unfinished piece will be exhibited alongside some of her earlier works. The exhibition is accompanied by a chamber exhibition summarizing Gizella RÁKÓCZY’s 30-year-long career as a teacher, featuring a portfolio of her last students’ works, assembled by the artist herself, as well as a selection of works by her earlier students and many photographs.
