      MICHAL RANNÝ 1946 - 1981 - DVOJICE KRESEB

      Est: -

Michal Ranný was one of the artists who transcended his time with his work. His landscape creation professes geometric order and minimalism, the color is muted. The painting of details in the landscape does not attempt to depict the surface, but penetrates into the interior of the landscape - it soaks into its essence and searches for the foundations of colors and shapes that shape it. Technique: watercolour, paper, Signed: unsigned

Michal Ranný studied in the years 1961-1965 at SUPŠ in Brno with prof. Jiří Coufal, continued at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Prof. František Jiroudek and Jiří John. The beginnings of his painting work were connected with the landscape of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, to which he constantly returned and which was one of his great sources of inspiration. However, his study visits to Italy and France brought him to the theme of the seas, where he absorbed the colorful composition. He typically depicted monochrome minimalist colors in an economical square format, and due to his premature age of 35, in contrast to his watercolor work, his painting work is not very numerous.
