    • Arnoldus van Ravesteyn, um 1605 – 1690 Den Haag
      Dec. 05, 2019

Arnoldus van Ravesteyn, um 1605 – 1690 Den Haag

      Est: €18,000 - €25,000

44 x 36,5 cm. (†) (1212185) (13) Arnold van Ravesteyn, 1595/ 1615 – 1690 The Hague Arnold van Ravesteyn was the son of Anthonie van Ravesteyn and probably also his apprentice. PORTRAIT OF A LADY IN RED DRESS Oil on canvas. 44 x 36.5 cm. Signed and dated “Ravesteyn. f. 1683” lower left. The hand posture seems typical for ladies’ portraits by van Ravesteyn: as can be observed in a portrait sold at auction at Christie’s, New York on 15 October 1992, lot 36 that dates to 1659 (RKD no. 137149). (†)
