Anna Sandhu Ray, once married to James Earl Ray, began painting at the age of five and is now well known for her work with watercolors and ink as well as acrylics on canvas, using a method she dubbed 'controlled splattering' in order to create a stained glass type of look with a soft yet colorful impression of scenic features. Anna Sandhu was a courtroom artist who covered the trial of James Earl Ray, the convicted killer of Dr. Martin Luther King. While covering the trial, Anna fell in love with James Earl and married him in 1978 In her artwork, she started inscribing them with For God and James along with her name and the fish symbol for Christianity. She divorced Ray in 1993.
