    painted ca. 1830/40. Wounded Prussian drummer is led on horseback across a bridge by a peasant girl. In the background more infantrymen and horsemen. Szene from the Napoleonic Wars 1813/15, signed on the lower right "Rechlin". Oil on canvas, in gilded stucco frame, 21 x 23 cm. Seal of the A.W.F. merchant's company on the stretcher, as well as an appraisal from a Museum in Polish language (Posen 1962). Karl Rechlin worked as a painter in Berlin and was influenced by Franz Krüger. Cf. Thieme-Becker, Bd. XXVIII, S. 68.

    entstanden um 1830/40 Verwundeter preußischer Trommler wird von einem Landmädchen auf einem Pferd über einen Steg geführt. Im Hintergrund weitere Infanteristen und Berittene. Szene aus den Befreiungskriegen 1813/15. Unten rechts signiert "Rechlin". Öl auf Leinwand, in vergoldetem Stuckrahmen, 21 x 23 cm. Auf dem Keilrahmen Lacksiegel des Handelskontors A.W.F. Danenberg sowie eine in polnischer Sprache abgefasste Museumsexpertise (Posen 1962). Karl Rechlin war als Schlachtenmaler in Berlin tätig, beeinflusst von Franz Krüger. Siehe: Thieme-Becker, Bd.
