    Reményi, József (Hungarian, 1887-1977); b. Košice HUNGARY , Tisztviselők Háza , Hévizfürdő [Civil Servants House], c . 1930, a uniface cast iron plaque by J. Reményi, naked male invalid sitting left on a basin, three semi-robed males standing in various poses behind him, one with a long pole, three-part loggia in background, 138 x 100mm, 243.71g (Huszár 4471; cf . DNW M8, 2352). Extremely fine, rare £80-£100 --- Provenance: Münz Zentrum Rheinland Auktion 135 (Solingen), 10 January 2007, lot 6422. The Hévíz Szanatórium és Gyógyszálloda, built in 1907, was sold in 1912 to the restaurateur Rezső Krajcsovits (1871-1933), who operated it under the name Grand Hotel Hévíz. In 1927 it was bought by the Országos Tisztviselői Nyugdíjalap [National Civil Servants' Pension Fund], and in 1928 opened its doors under the name Tisztségviselők Háza [Civil Servants House] ------ For more information , additional images and to bid on this lot please go to the auctioneers website, www.noonans.co.uk

    1 db bronzplakett Idősebb báró tolcsvai Korányi Frigyes a márciusi ifjak egyike, belgyógyász, egyetemi tanár, a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia levelező tagja, a magyarországi orvostudomány egyik meghatározó alakja. A nagyméretű bronz plakett alkotója valószínűleg Reményi József (1887-1977) szobrász, éremművész, aki 1955-ben készített ugyanilyen profilú, de kisebb bronz emlékérmét az orvoskongresszusra. Egyoldalas, jelzés nélküli öntött plakett, egyenletes patinával. Átmérője 19 cm. Versoján rögzítéshez csavar helye.
