This is an etching of "The British Surrendering Their Arms to General Washington After Their Defeat". Drawn by John Francis Renault. Engraved by Tanner, Wallace, Kearney Co., and Wm. Allen. It measures 42x33 matted and framed. At the bottom of the engraving are the names of the officers in the engraving. Names such as Lincoln, Rochambeau, Hamilton, Washington, Knox, DeLauzum, Nelson,LaFayette, Tarleton, Cornwallis, Abercrombie, O'Hara, Symmonds, Dundas, Chewton. At the bottom it reads, "to the defenders of American Independence this print is most respectfully inscribed by their fellow citizens". This piece is in excellent condition.
