He attended Norwich Art School and Westminster, then briefly, in 1945, the East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing, where he met Tom and Bod, and fellow student, Gwynneth Griffiths.       *Bernard Reynolds (1915-1997), 'Maquette for a 40' Monument', carved walnut, 72cm high Exhibited: with Chappell Galleries Bernard Reynolds studied at Norwich and Westminster Schools of Art. During 1937-8 he was associated with Henry Moore and contributed to the Surrealist Object Exhibition at the London Gallery. He was lecturer in charge of 3D studies at Ipswich School of Art until 1981 and convened a number of East Anglian Sculpture exhibitions and exhibited sculpture and drawings widely in Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk. He was a Fellow of the British Society of Sculptors. Earlier this year there has been a retrospective of his work at the Waterfront Gallery, University Campus Suffolk, Ipswich. *Artist's Resale Right may apply to this lot.
