Josef (Joss) Röwer (Westerholt 1903 - 1968). A Seated Female Nude.

1959. Bronze with brown patina. On the top side of the plinth ligated monogr. and date 'JR 59'. H. 26 cm, 21 x 13 cm. - German sculptor, studied at the Folkwangschule in Essen and the Academy in Berlin, worked with Fritz Klimsch and Richard Scheibe and opened his own workshop in 1936, his work contains female nudes, athletes and busts as well as orders for the Public and Ecclesiastical Space.
