      Léo ROUSSEL 1868-1943 Louis Blériot Buste en bronze à patine brune, signé Léo Roussel et daté 1909. Marqué : " Louis Blériot, Vainqueur de l'air, Calais Douvres, 25 Juillet 1919 ". Haut. : 22 cm. (8 3/4 in.) Léo Roussel naît le 25 novembre 1868 à Ourches sur Meuse et meurt à Paris en 1943. Aux beaux arts de Paris, il est l'élève de GJ Thomas et d'E Peynot. En 1880, il reçoit le grand Prix de Rome. Il est membre sociétaire des Artistes Français. Exposition : " Louis Blériot, la volonté, la traversée, la légende ", au Centre Culturel de l'Entente Cordiale, Château d'Hardelot, organisée par le Conseil Général du Pas de Calais, 25 Juillet - 3 Octobre 2009
