Guy Routledge Art for Sale and Sold Prices

b. 1965 -

I have worked in Ceramics for the last 20 years after studying glass and ceramics at Sunderland University.

My first studio was in Auckland, New Zealand from 1989 to 1991. I then worked for a year as a site artist and designer on the New Zealand pavillion in Seville, Spain during
Expo 92.
On returning to England in 1993, I developed my studio ceramics, supplying many galleries throughout the UK
and overseas.

My work consists of various brightly coloured vessels, bottles and a wide range of sculptural figurative ceramics, based loosely around the ‘head’ and ‘face’. These pieces are predominantly monochrome.
All my work is handbuilt, giving each piece a unique character and presence.

I now have large workshops and a shop (Carrington Pottery) in Nottingham, where I make my own work as well as teaching up to 50 people a week in various group classes.
