Attributed to Peter Rouw, British, 1770-1852, a wax portrait relief of a gentleman, possibly the young Duke of Wellington, in a later circular mahogany frame with gilt slip, the portrait - 8cm high, the frame - 21cm diameter Note: Peter Rouw (1770-1852) sculptor and wax modeller, attended the Royal Academy Schools in 1788 and was appointed Sculptor, Modeller of Gems to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales (later George IV) in 1807. He is also recorded as sending a collection of his wax portraits to the Great Exhibition of 1851. Please refer to department for condition report

Peter Rouw, British, 1770-1852, a wax portrait relief of a young lady, dated 1816, signed P Rouw, London 1815, in a later circular mahogany frame with gilt slip, the reverse with hand-written ink inscription Portrait of a Young Lady, Peter Rowu, Sculptor, Modeller of Gems, Cameos to His R.H. the Prince Regent, 22 Carmarthen Street, Fitzroy Square, London, 1818, the portrait - 6.5cm high, the frame 21cm diameter Peter Rouw (1770-1852) sculptor and wax modeller, attended the Royal Academy Schools in 1788 and was appointed Sculptor, Modeller of Gems to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales (later George IV) in 1807. He is also recorded as sending a collection of his wax portraits to the Great Exhibition of 1851. Please refer to department for condition report
