Adrian Rovátkay was born in Hungary in 1896. He was once a painter and professor at Budapest's School of Applied Arts, and worked at restoring many old paintings. He developed his own quasi-impressionist style, with lofty/ethereal subjects rendered in soft, earthy tones. Rovátkay exhibited at the Berlinische Galerie (Berlin Art Gallery). His works can be found in many private collections, not only in Europe, but also the United States.He may have lived for a time in the U.S., but no other information is readily available ... including his date of death.
