      Rudolph, Alfred Arizona (1881-1942) COMPANIONS etching, framed signed & titled: lower margin in pencil, Alfred Rudolph image size: 8 x 6 inches *Artist biography: Known for his etchings and lithographs of the desert mountains and old prospectors in California and Arizona, he was born in Alsace-Lorraine, France. In the 1920s and 30s, he lived a hermit's life in Tucson on the edge of the desert. He later moved to La Jolla, California. He exhibited with the San Diego Fine Arts Library and the San Diego Art Guild, and his etchings are held in the Smithsonian Institution and the Library of Congress Collection.
