Beatrice Baxter Ruyl (Mrs. Louis Herman Ruyl) 1879-1961. She was a student of The Museum of Fine Arts Boston and later studied in Paris under Colarossi and Edward Stretcher.
She illustrated for several books including Little Indian Maidens at Work & Play (1909) and Zodiac Birthday Book (1910); she also worked as an illustrator for The Boston Herald.
She and her artist husband, Louis Ruyl, had a home in Hingham, Massachusetts and summered in Ogunquit, Maine where she was a member of the Ogunquit Art Association.
She painted several 'birds eye view' town watercolors of Hingham and of Ogunquit.
