Measurements: 15 x 10 cm; 26 x 20 cm (frame). Draughtsman and painter, Francisco Sancha specialized in the landscape and the portrait, although he also tackled many other subjects. He trained at the Fine Arts Schools of San Telmo in Malaga and San Fernando in Madrid, with Joaquín Martínez de la Vega in the former and José Moreno Carbonero in the latter. In 1899 he settled in Paris, where he worked as a contributor to the magazines "Frou-Frou", "Le Rire" and "Le Cri de Paris". In 1812 he moved to London, and there he extended his activity to furniture design and decorative painting, in addition to collaborating with various publications. He participated in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts in Madrid, being awarded an honorable mention in 1897 and a second medal in 1908 and 1910. He is currently represented in the Museo Lázaro Galdiano, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the ABC of Madrid, among other collections.
