Measurements: 23 x 6 x 5,5 cm; 2 x 11 x 7 cm (base). Sculpture in round bulk raised from an avant-garde aesthetic, as it presents an abstract form. Where the sculptor plays with the interchange between matter and emptiness, or space. Thus placing an opening in the center of the piece that generates a common language between the sculpture and the environment. The painter and sculptor Alberto Sanchez was a promoter of the School of Vallecas, and in 1937 he exhibited a large sculpture in the Pavilion of the Spanish Republic at the International Exhibition in Paris. In 1938 the Republican Government sent him to Moscow as a drawing teacher for Spanish exiled children, and he never returned. In 2002 a tribute was dedicated to him at the Santa Cruz Museum in his hometown. He is currently represented in the MNCA Reina Sofia, the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, the Open Air Sculpture Museum on the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, the ICO Collections, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Toledo, the National Library, the Santander Central Hispano collection and in various private collections, including that of Ambassador Ernesto Madero in Mexico.
