Johannes Stanislaus Schaffroth (1766 Bathingunkn. - 1851 Baden-Baden) attributed: Four young men in tails, standing, smoking, reading, 1822, Pencil Technique: Pencil on Laid paper Inscription: Lower middle dated: "1. Dec. 1822". Date: 1822 Description: In the foreground, a group of three young men are standing together, the one on the right is looking into the hymnal he is holding with his left hand. Smoking a pipe, the middle of the three men stands slightly behind the other two, while the third on the left has his hands clasped in front of him. On the left behind the group, another young man stands in profile to the right, his hands folded in front of his chest as if in prayer and his gaze lowered devoutly.
