KATHERINE SHUBERT-KUNIYOSHI SCHMIDT Still Life with Pears.

    Est: $1,000 - $1,500

KATHERINE SHUBERT-KUNIYOSHI SCHMIDT Still Life with Pears. Color pastels on tan wove paper, 1927. 382x561 mm; 15x22 1/8 inches. Signed and dated in pencil, lower right recto. Provenance: Juliana R. Force, New York; thence by gift or descent to Henry Farmer, New York and Rockland, Maine; private collection, New Jersey. Schmidt (1899-1978) began her training at the Art Students League in New York, where she met her husband Yasuo Kuniyoshi (1889-1953).
