Lot Essay Carolee Schneemann (1939-2019), primarily known for her groundbreaking performance art and feminist contributions, also produced colorful and abstract paintings throughout her career. These paintings often feature bold, vibrant colors, dynamic brushwork, and an intense emotional depth that transcends the canvas, and demonstrate her versatility and mastery of various artistic mediums.
