Schobelt, 86 x 66 cm, slight flaking of paint. The young couple have settled down under a tree by an antique-relief fountain. The winged Cupid holds his bow at the ready and gazes anxiously at the young woman, who turns her gaze in the direction of the arriving old lady. Like the water flowing from the fountain into the jug below, time and youthfulness are slipping away.
