    Fritz Schoen, attr., "Straße in Rauschen" an einer Landstraße gelegenes einsames, reetgedeckten Haus zwischen mächtigen Bäumen, Aquarell über Kohle, um 1920, rechts unten signiert "Schoen", auf Rahmenrückseite bezeichnet "Schoen: Straße in Rauschen/Ostpreußen" und kurze Geschichte zum Bild, weiterhin in Blei bezeichnet "Fritz Schoen *1871 Darkehnen Ostpreußen war ans(ässig) in Berlin", unter Passepartout und hinter Glas gerahmt, Passepartoutausschnitt ca. 25 x 32,5 cm. Fritz Schoen, attr, "Straße in Rauschen" situated on a country road, a lonely thatched house between mighty trees, watercolour over charcoal, c. 1920, signed "Schoen" lower right, inscribed "Schoen: Straße in Rauschen/Ostpreußen" and a short history of the painting on the reverse of the frame, also inscribed in pencil "Fritz Schoen *1871 Darkehnen Ostpreußen war ans(ässig) in Berlin", matted and framed behind glass, mat cut-out c. 25 x 32.5 cm.

    FRITZ SCHÖN (1871-?) NORICUM - KETTENLOS. 1900. 36½x28¾ inches, 92¾x73 cm. Aktiengesellschaft für Kunstdruck, Niedersedlitz. Condition B+ / B: repaired tear through lower right image; minor repaired tears, small losses and repaired pin holes in margins; horizontal fold; slight darkening in image. Mounted on Chartex. The city of Graz (Austria) became a center of industrialism and manufacturing at the end of the 19th century, with the founding of the Puch bicycle and automobile factory, major breweries, a railcar factory and a shoe factory. Cless & Plessing, founded in 1898, only produced bicycles for a short period of time, with Noricum being one of their bikes. Heinrich Cless was a designer in the railroad industry, and Rudolf Plessing came from the famous Meteor bicycle company. Because they only produced chainless models, and the demand for motorcycles and cars far outnumbered that for bicycles, the company ended production in 1904.

Berlin, dick, teils zuckergussartig emailliert und lithographiert, ein Entwurf von Fritz Schön, gut im Glanz, kräftige Vollfarben, die eh schon sehr zarte Lithographie ist ziemlich blass geworden. Ein unrestauriertes Original, das auch in dieser Erhaltung noch einen gewissen Charme besitzt.
