Two larger creases can be seen close to the right and left edge of the sheet. The lower fight edge bears a small tear. The frame shows signs of wear and a spot with loss of material affecting the upper left edge. The sheet dimensions are 46.5 x 36.8 cm. Johann Joseph Schwachhofer (1772-1828) The Mainz-born Johann Joseph Schwachhofer was a German portrait and history painter. Schwachhofer was a pupil of J. Kuyper in Amsterdam.
