    HAND WRITTEN SIGNED LETTER BY SIR WALTER SCOTT:

    Scottish historical novelist, playwright and poet (1771-1832). His works include "Ivanhoe", "Lady of the Lake" and more. He was also a judge and legal administrator. The letter, dated 23 April 1813,thanks a Henry Brevort, Esq. for sharing with Scott a satirical, political history of New York which Scott found very entertaining. He asks that if that author should write anything else, that Brevort share it as well.

    Scottish novelist and poet (1771-1832) best known for such classics as Ivanhoe, Rob Roy, and Waverley. ALS, one page, 7.25 x 9, July 30, 1829. Letter to William L. Muly, in Scott's difficult to decipher hand, looking forward to a meeting with several others. Second page bears an address panel in Scott's hand. In very good condition, with intersecting mailing folds, slight paper loss to hinge, scattered toning and soiling, and a pencil notation to bottom.
