Brita Seifert, German Fantastic/Surrealist painter, was born in Leipzig in 1963. started drawing in 1980, before she was admitted to the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, where she was a student of Prof. Heinz Wagner and Werner Hennig from 1983 to 1986. She left the GDR, first to Teubingen in the south of Germany and then to Italy. In Italy she got inspired by the works of Leonardo Da Vinci and Albrecht Dürer. In 1992 she moved back to Berlin.
