Amir Urip Alit Sembodo Art for Sale at Auction

b. 1973 - d. 2003

Amir Urip Alit Sembodo (born in Magelang, 10 August 1975 - died 4 August 2003 at the age of 27 years) is an Indonesian painter known as a comic artist and his style of painting is unique in reflecting the beginning of human extermination, disorder (chaos), and the end of the world (chaos), and the end of the world (chaos) endism). As a contemporary artist, Alit's works have been widely owned by collectors in Taiwan, Singapore, and several European countries. [1]

The youngest child of the couple Oemar Tribani and Ninik Winarna Winarni is known as a quiet, but creative figure. Alit studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Indonesian Art Institute, Yogyakarta in 1995 along with several other painters such as Azhar Horo, I Nyoman Triarta AP, and Alex Danny Santosa. On January 4, 2000, Alit was one of seven artists whose work was exhibited at the Gelaran Budaya Gallery with the theme "Shifting Point: The Celebration to an Indefference". The characters in the comics made by Alit are the same as the characters in his Baratayudha series, namely puppet figures tucked in with contemporary figures. In painting, he uses a lot of pencils, ink, and acrylic on canvas. His paintings are always filled, crowded with characters and have a full story that can be read from various angles.

One of Alit's strengths as a painter is his ability to use Chinese ink with a dry system and pencil-like effects. The use of this media was also used by Alit to make his comics bought by quite a number of curators. Alit paintings are simple in coloring, but what is interesting about his work is the complicated strokes on each of the objects drawn. Alit died at the age of 28 in Magelang on August 4, 2003.
