Lim Ka Seng graduated from the Tan Guan Hin Art Class Perak in 1961, and from the Press Art School England Watercolour Painting in 1963. He took the role as President of Contemporary Malaysian Watercolourists Association (CMWA) between 1998-2001, and is currently its Advisor. In 1998, he won the Minister of Education Award from Japan Modern Arts Association in Osaka, Japan. He is active both domestically and abroad, and has participated in numerous international exhibitions in the Asia Pacific, such as the Guangzhou Art Fair in China (2008).
