Entitled "Sanctus Paulus Simplex" below the depiction, with monogram on the cross: CvS. Inscribed in an unknown hand on the backing with information on Ch. v. Sichem: "Th-B Bd. Monogrammed in upper left corner "CVS". Note with image in Italian describes scene. German text on verso. Hinged at top edge. Edges trimmed on three sides. Cream matting, wooden frame with gold painted liner. MEASUREMENTS: 3-1/2" x 3". Overall with frame 10-5/8" x 7-5/8". CONDITION: Undulation and wrinkling to woodcut. Toning and foxing to matting. Discoloration to card with Italian, where tape was placed. Light wear to frame, rubbing to paint and scratches.
