This engraving / print was made by British printmaker William Henry Simmons (1811 - 1882) after James Henry Beard (1812 - 1893) ~ American painter. Elected as a member of the National Academy of Design in 1872. Titled "The Prodigal's Return". Good condition. Storage related wear and scuffs to the frame. Dust areas inside the glass where the piece is titled. Measures 28 5/8 in x 34 1/4 in. Work measures 18 3/8 in x 24 3/8 in. Signed ~ printed title lower front center and printed name lower right with date year 1879. MMB Inc will not ship. Gallery will refer a local shipper for international buyers.
