        Signed in pencil lower right by the artist. Born in Saratoga, Indiana in 1935, Martha Slaymaker, a painter, printmaker and teacher, spent a great deal of her childhood residing in Indiana then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1976, where she died in 1999 following a long battle with cancer. Slaymaker received her formal training at Edinboro College, PA; and also studied at Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio and John Herron School of Art, Indiana University, Indiana. She was featured in Who's Who in American Art, Who's Who in the West and International Who's Who of Professional Women. Silver leaf framed with beige mat w/ silver fillet floated on beige mat.
