Artist Richard Sloan is well known for his many global exhibitions that document rainforest wildlife. His skills in documenting not only the animals but the details in their environments have made Richard Sloan's prints highly sought after. Prior to devoting his time to painting more exotic locations, many of Richard Sloan's paintings were completed as a staff artist for Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo.

Among artist Richard Sloan's many works are 42 pieces he contributed to the book Raptors of Arizona and a series of stamps he created for the World Wildlife Fund. His collections are in multiple museums including the Smithsonian as well as among private collectors.
