Born on 17 November 1943 in Soissons-la-Montagne. Born of a family of painters (Denis Smith, Saint-Jacques Smith, Jocelyne Smith dit Oceli ...) Antoine Smith is part of the 2nd generation of the Saint-Soleil movement. In 1973, he was introduced to painting by the founder of the Tiga movement at the same time as his cousin Saint-Jacques Smith. He had nine children, three of whom were painters, Wagner, Julio and Fiedalan Smith. He was the drummer of the movement during the festivals and theatrical performances.

In 1977, 33 members of Saint-Soleil, including Antoine Smith, participated in the Festival de Théâtre de Nancy at the invitation of the French Minister of Culture at the time, Jacques Lang.

In 1979, he moved to Poland with 12 other members of the Saint-Soleil movement to participate in the International seminar on the meeting between theatre and Voodoo entitled "Theatre of sources" organized by Jean Claude Honking (Tiga) and Maud Robart and the Polish director, Jerzy Grotowski. Antoine Smith played in a play and exhibited his works.

He died on 9 September 2009 in Fermathe.
