Frank Hilton Spears Sold at Auction Prices

Frank H. Spears (10 May 1904 Sydney – 21 Sep 1985 Western Australia). Frank Hilton Spears was born in Mosman (Sydney) and died in Attadale (near Perth). He was known for his beautiful landscapes and seascapes. In 1959 he won the prestigious Art Gallery of New South Wales’ Wynn Prize for Landscaping for “Morning, North Harbour’ (Sydney). He was a
finalist in the Wynn Prize in 1961. Frank was also the subject of an Archibald Prize finalist painting by Molly Johnson in 1960.
