For your consideration is this 1998 watercolor, by artist Sari Staggs, called Indian with yellow feather; or Chief Yellow Feather. Sari Staggs is noted for her large-scale, colorful, and stylized watercolor paintings. Steeped in the lore of the Native American culture, Staggs has allowed her own life philosophy to become entwined with theirs and has spent years representing the Native American people, their dwelling places, and artifacts in her paintings. The water color shows a colorful arrangement of a Native American Chief with trade blanket and a single yellow feather adorning his headband.
