Below is a verse "Ask peace to Jerusalem..." in Hebrew and English. Weaving work by artist Thomas Stevens [1828-1888]. (It is known for a similar bookmark created in 1875 for Moses Montefiore with a dedication to his name at the top of the bookmark. The bookmark before us may have been a source of that bookmark). 6x22 cm. Few stains. Good condition.
