        Lot is comprised of three large scale stills from Eve Sussman's reinterpretation of the Roman myth, "The Rape of the Sabine Women." Images are individually titled "Women in the S-Bahn," "Mari and Gray at Window," and "Grayson Rises." The improvised dramatization is set in the 1960s, with a musical score by Jonathan Bepler taking the place of any dialogue. The film debuted at the 47th International Thessaloniki Film Festival in 2006, after which it presented on tour in Greece, Germany, the US and the UK. The Rufus Corporation is a group of artists and performers under the direction of artist Eve Sussman. "Her work originates from fascination with simple gestures and casual expressions, which she observes, captures, and stages in videos, films, installations and photographs." Comprising Women in the S Bahn from The Rape of The Sabine Women, Mari and Gray at Window and Grayson Rises, 2006 each in the manner of a film still the first depicting women in 1960s attire waiting for a subway train, the second of a man and woman in an embrace and the third of several figures posed after an accident in various states of disarray. Dimensions of First 48 3/4 x 41 1/2 inches. The second 55 x 37 3/4 inches. The third 87 x 40 inches. Each has some wrinkles, wear mostly around edges. No rips, tears noted.Provenance: Roebling Hall Galleries via storage unit purchases by Joe Pauletich of A&E network reality show Storage Wars, New York.
