Verso voll signiert, eigenhändige Legende, sowie Photographenstempel mit Studioadresse. Literatur: Isenbart, Hans-Heinrich. Königreich des Pferdes. Luzern und Frankfurt a. M., 1969 (Abb. S. 28-29). Die Aufnahme gewann den World Press Photo Award 1963 in der Kategorie "Features" und wurde zusätzlich mit dem Preis der Publikumsjury ausgezeichnet. Seit Dezember 1989 ist das Motiv das offizielle Logo des Kentucky Horse Parks Lexington KY USA. Mehrere Jahre war es auch auf den Autokennzeichen des US-Staates Kentucky.
