Christopher Thomas is an accomplished Rhode Island artist actively exhibiting work since 2013. Originally a behavioral therapist, in 2012 Christopher began to suffer from seizures causing chronic migraines keeping him awake for days at end. It was during this time he began to construct his urban assemblages. Completely constructed of found recycled objects, typically off the street or out of the trash, Christopher creates intricate mechanical steampunk figures, clocks, guns, and sculpture. Christopher draws influence from the media he surrounds himself with whether it be music, TV, or film. He has been exhibited at AS220, URI, and most recently the Block Island airport amongst other local gallery shows.
