      (American 1786-1877) COLD SPRING HARBOR AND WEST POINT ON THE HUDSON. Oil on canvas scene shows a large area of water off the Hudson which has eight rowboats at different docks and one in the river with four people. The Highlands are seen as a backdrop with a town shown nestled on the side of the river. A fine panoramic view of this historic area. Signed lower right on a rock "M. E. Thompson". Housed in a fine Hudson River style reproduction frame. SIZE: 18" x 42". CONDITION: Very good. Clean with some very minor inpainting. 9-93471.
