    Francis William Troup (British, 1859-1941) A walnut wall-hanging cabinet, circa 1914, probably made in Ernest Gimson's or Barnsley's workshop, with panelled doors and canted edges, 20 ¾" across, 31 ½" high. Illustrated: The drawing for this cabinet can be found in the Cheltenham Art Gallery Archive of Barnsley and Gimson drawings, cat. no.1941.222.370. It is drawn as part of a unit to include a case of drawers and a table top cupboard, dated 1 February 1914, made for F. W. Troup's offices at 14 Gray's Inn Square, London. Another wardrobe designed by Troup and made by the Barnsley's in 1931 can be found in the Victoria & Albert Museum. Provenance: F. W. Troop and H. R. Steele and thence by descent.
