ALEXANDER TSIGAL GILT BRONZE RELIEF SCULPTURE

Alexander (Alik) Tsigal (Russian Federation/Active in US B. 1948). A very fine bronze devotional relief sculptural plaque. A modern work that reminds one of the middle age and Renaissance works by the Italian masters. The work is incised with several, biblical, references. This is a substantial and beautiful work. Measures: H 16 3/4" x W 11 3/4" x D 1 1/2" Provenance: Collection of Dick Polich, Polich Tallix Fine Art Foundry. Polich and Tallix produced significant sculptural works over many years. He is known to have produced art with artists such as, Willem de Kooning, Jeff Koons, Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella, Helen Frankenthaler, ERTE, Julian Schnabel, Richard Artschwager, Isamu Noguchi, and many others.
