Poelenburch Inventor’ Verso inscribed in handwriting Dimensions: 17.4 x 26 cm Matted behind glass in frame: 34 x 42.2 cm Good condition Delicately rendered depiction of the ruins of a Roman temple at the Forum of Nerva Object is taxed regularly. 19% VAT is added to the purchase price for deliveries within the EU. In the mid-30s van Bronckhorst started etching upon the suggestion of Cornelis van Poelenburch and thus many works were created based on van Poeleburch’s templates, which are distinguished by particularly fine, silvery lines and atmospheric effects. Condition: The etching is in good condition, consistent with age and bearing minor signs of wear. Occasionally handling creases, abrasion, pressure marks and surface dirt.
