Géza Vörös, Franz von Assisi predigt den Vögeln Darstellung des Heiligen Franz von Assisi (1181/82 bis 1226), unter einem Baum am Seeufer zu Vögeln predigend, bereits die "Chronica maiora" des Matthäus von Paris berichtet im 13. Jh. von dem Ereignis wie folgt "... Aber das römische Volk, das allem Guten feindlich gesinnt ist, verachtete die Predigt dieses Mannes Gottes so sehr, dass es ihm nicht zuhörte und nicht einmal seinen heiligen Ermahnungen beiwohnte. Schließlich, nachdem sie sich viele Tage lang geweigert hatten, seine Predigt anzunehmen, tadelte Franziskus ihre Herzenshärte streng: „Ich bin sehr betrübt“, sagte er, „über eure unglückliche Lage, denn ihr verschmäht nicht nur mich, den Diener Christi, sondern verachtet ihn auch in mir, da ich euch die Frohe Botschaft des Erlösers der Welt verkünde. A mű cime: Szent Ferenc prédikál [dt.: Der Titel des Werkes: Der Heilige Franziskus predigt] A műneme: olajfestnej [dt.: Sein Werk: Ölgemälde]" sowie weiteren Etiketten und unleserlichen Annotationen sowie Stempelaufdruck "Nürnberg Kiállítás [dt.: Ausstellung] 1929", vom 23.02.-14.04.1929 fand in Nürnberg die "Ausstellung Neuzeitlicher ungarischer Kunst" statt, das Gemälde wurde auf der Ausstellung gezeigt und ist wie folgt auf Seite 37 im Ausstellungskatalog gelistet (Kopie beigegeben) "Vörös Géza ... 413 Hl. Franziskus mit den Vögeln 1927 Öl ...", Craquelure, Retuschen, gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 70,5 x 70,5 cm. Künstlerinfo: eigentlich Géza Róth, nannte sich ab 1917 "Géza Vörös", signierte "vörösgéza", ungarischer jüdischer, später protestantischer Maler und Graphiker (1897 Nagydobrony [heute Ukraine: Велика Добронь bzw. He studied with the painter Ede Balló and continued to hone his craft at the Szolnok and Nagybánya artists' colonies. From 1929 until the 1940s, Voros lived and painted in Szentendre. He died in Budapest in 1957. A memorial exhibition of his work was held at the Art Hall of Budapest in 1961.
