Holly Vogt Wilkison Art for Sale and Sold Prices

Holly Vogt Wilkison - was born on the 5th of December, in Cleveland, Ohio. Her love of art started immediately. Her mother, recognizing Holly's new love, enrolled her in a youth program at the Cleveland Museum of Art at the age of 3. There, Holly painted her first abstract piece and happily engrossed herself in the world of color, form, and movement.

At 5 1/2 years old, Holly and her family moved to Texas. There, she continued to draw and paint. At the age of 14, she started and continued taking classes in various mediums of art at the Glassell School of Art in Houston.

Upon her entrance into high school, Holly enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program for art under the esteemed tutelage of celebrated artist, Henri Gadbois. There she learned all aspects of art, including very in-depth studies in Art History, receiving an "A" throughout her high school career.

After high school, Holly was accepted at Syracuse University where she studied towards her BFA in Drama at their College of Visual and Performing Arts. Missing her art classes however, she briefly changed her major to that of Art. After realizing the amount of credits needed to catch up, she went back to becoming a Drama major, which she has used successfully to this day, and has performed in Houston, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Holly continued keeping an artist journal, studying art, painting and sketching, until eventually being employed as an assistant at the New Gallery in Houston, Texas. This position she followed with a brief job as assistant to celebrated art collector and artist, Lester Marks.

After seeing some of Holly’s art, a home stager commissioned an abstract painting for a home that was about to be on the market. The success of which prompted more commissions for future home stagings. These commissions lasted several years and encouraged her to start entering art shows and installations as an individual local artist. She has been in several events since.

Now, as a professional artist, Holly is enjoying painting pieces commissioned by not just home stagers and realtors, but for followers of her works and other clients. Her pieces have been featured in gallery exhibits, art shows, pop-up shops, and also commissioned for Houston theatre. She has fun going crazy with her abstract pieces and chandeliers, and is currently working on a series of paintings for up-coming gallery exhibits, shows, and markets.
