    Oil on cardboard with canvas textured surface Germany, presumably around 1920 Richard Vogts (1874-1948) - German painter, trained at the Düsseldorf Academy, he became a successful portraitist in Cologne and Düsseldorf Signed at the lower right 'R. Vogts' On the reverse label of 'Zer-Malpappe Sorte 135 L' Romantic portrait of a graceful young woman carrying a splendid bouquet of roses; executed in partially homogenous, partially volatile brush strokes and exquisite color range Dimensions of cardboard: 75 x 49.6 cm Framed: 92.1 x 66 cm Condition: The painting shows signs of age and wear. The surface bears color loss in places as well as craquelure and along the edges minimal damages due to framing are visible. Under UV-light scattered touch-ups appear. The dimensions of the cardboard are 75 x 49.6 cm, while the framed dimensions are 92.1 x 66 cm. (nlu) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
