Vovchenko represents the former head of the Russian SFSR Lenin and was made in the first half of the 20th century. Lenin wearing a grey suit is depicted in a standing pose with finely worked facial features. His view is directed into the distance. In the background a scenic environment in fresh colours can be seen. The work is signed lower right ‘В. Вовченко’ and a stamped on the back. The work shows obvious signs of age and wear. On the reverse there are creases repaired by patches on the reverse. Colour flaking, stains and small holes are visible. The height is 195 cm and the width 125 cm.
