      George Edward Wade (b.1853-d.1933) Modelled standing in full uniform with royal garter and insigna to the reverse, on square section plinth inscribed G.E.WADE SCULP. 1889 and with foundry stamp H.Luppens & Cie. 17 3/8in. (44.2cm.) high NOTES Wade exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1887 onwards. He specialised in other military subjects as well as royalty and politicians.
