The metal clock, 4" dia., bears a dial decorated with a stylized American flag with Wallace's portrait at bottom. Perhaps as a political statement from the beyond, the clock does not work, but the alarm remains fully functional and irritating.

I.S.P., 8" x 10" color, an official portrait of the governor seated on his desk. He signs in black ink, adding the inscription: "To my friend Leon Moritz Best Wishes". The verso of the photograph bears a printed greeting from Wallace as governor. Very good.

    George C. Wallace (Aug. 25, 1919 - Sept. 13, 1998) served 4 terms as Alabama Governor, from the 1960s through the 1980s. An extremely controversial figure due to his strong beliefs in racial segregation. Wallace ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Presidency on 3 occasions. Despite his later efforts to revise his public image, Wallace is remembered for his strong support of segregation in the '60s. He died in Montgomery, Alabama, on September 13, 1998.
